Disco
From Dance to Freedom!
- Disco is a state in which music gives us back the feeling of being alive. Each heroine brought her own disco into the world — her own rhythm, color, mood, and euphoria, her own way of choosing and being free.

Each Gave the World Her Own Disco
“DISCO” is a literary project by Iskandar Kadyrov, conceived as a series of parables about music, the body, and freedom.
Eight stories about eight heroines, each of whom gave the world her own disco: her own rhythm, her own color, her own way of stepping into the light.
Each story has its own laws: its own genre, its own voice, and its own view of freedom.
This is neither an encyclopedia of disco nor a ranking of stars.
It is eight original variations on what happens to a person when music gives them back the feeling of being alive.
The real names evoke cultural figures and phenomena; the stories and scenes are works of fiction.
