Humanity is one fabric — civilizations are its unique patterns

GLOBAL VISUAL CODE™
This is a study of the visual DNA of civilizations through the language of architecture, design, art, and engineering.
Each civilization develops its own system of visual signs — form, color, material, ornament, structure, and engineering.
This is not an archive of history or a catalog of the past.
It is an exploration of the visual nature of civilizations: how culture transforms its ideas, values, and ways of thinking into material form.
Because form does not only reflect a civilization — it also shapes its image, memory, and way of engaging with the world.
By studying the visual language of the past, we identify its DNA and, on that basis, design the visual language of the future.
GLOBAL VISUAL CODE™
How the Code Works
Every civilization is studied through the same five-layer methodology.
Each layer reveals a different dimension of its visual DNA:
ARCHITECTURE DNA Architectural forms and spatial principles
PATTERN LANGUAGE Ornaments, symbols, and pattern systems
MATERIAL DNA Materials, textures, and surface qualities
COLOR DNA Color systems and cultural palettes
ENGINEERING DNA Structural logic and engineering solutions
5 LAYERS × 5 ELEMENTS = 25 VISUAL CODES
Each civilization is represented by 25 carefully selected visual codes.
25 codes are not an encyclopedia of a civilization. They are its minimal visual genome.
Together, the five layers and twenty-five elements form the CIVILIZATION DESIGN BOARD™ — a compact visual map of how a civilization transforms culture into form.
AN OPEN SYSTEM
The selection is not intended to be exhaustive.
GLOBAL VISUAL CODE™ is an evolving research system. Each new volume refines the existing framework, expands the visual map, and reveals new connections between civilizations.
