On February 2, 1968, I.K. Kadyrov was elected a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR (Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy). His scientific work was devoted to fundamental research in the history of public education in the Uzbek SSR and the theory of schooling. While heading the Research Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of the Uzbek SSR named after T.N. Kary-Niyazov, he laid the foundations for a national pedagogical school oriented toward a synthesis of all-Union educational standards and the cultural-historical traditions of the republic.
